Race Details

ÖTILLÖ has made two big changes to its Final 15K race. First, the course will go back to its origin: All participants will have to conquer the final 15km of ÖTILLÖ, The Swimrun World Championship. This means that it will be a POINT-TO-POINT race with start on Ornö and finish on Utö. Second, the Final 15K will be the first INDIVIDUAL START race in ÖTILLÖ history, which implies that a team or solo racer will start every 15 seconds. The technical trail running, beautiful swim section, and stunning views remain the same. This is a challenging and intense course that will make you smile all the way to the end.

From the Stockholm Central Station you can take a subway and bus to Årsta Brygga, where the ferry to the start on Ornö leaves. Use the travel planner in this link and put in Stockholm C as your departing station and Årsta Brygga as your arrival station. Spectators, friends and family can take the regular ferries to Utö.

If you arrive by car there is a big parking lot at Årsta Brygga where the ferries leave from.

If you race in a team both team members need to come to the bib distribution together. For a smoother process, please look up your start number before picking up your Start pack. If you plan to race with fins you need to bring these so that we can verify that they are in line with the rules.

During the 2024 season we have a general online briefing for all races.

15 minutes before the first start there will be a short race specific update at the start line.

At registration at each destination one of the Race Directors will be present to answer questions.

The ÖTILLÖ Final 15K has no cut-off.

In the end of August we usually find late Swedish summer weather. But, it can be the start of autumn. Make sure you bring clothes to stay warm. It can be anything between 5 – 20 degrees C.
Water temperatures will be between 16- 18 degrees C depending on where along the course. Make sure you dress with a good wool layer underneath your wetsuit and use a Neoprene cap if you are not used to cold water.
Like everywhere we can have wind, rain and un-seasonably cold. Make sure you bring clothes to handle this.
Salt water. The water in the Baltic has very low salinity. Some athletes will even race without swim goggles.

We welcome all spectators, friends and families to participate in our events.

The course is very easy to follow by bicycle and these are available for rent in the harbour. Make sure to ride safely as you are on open roads, even though they have little traffic.

There is a restaurant right next to the event area.

During each race we make a media production for social media and traditional media. You will see photographers, reporters and film teams. If you have any personal media contacts that would like to have material from us please email to [email protected]
